Alden Caldwell-Gaines

Alden graduated from Holistic Massage Training Institute in 2006.    Having been an avid practitioner of yoga for several years, Alden came to HMTI to learn more about the anatomy and physiology of the human body as well as the mind-body connection as it pertains to healing.  Alden chose HMTI because of its intimate class sizes and small teacher/student ratio.  From this Alden feels she received more personal attention and in-depth academic experiences.  The curriculum was inclusive of many aspects of bodywork from offering a wide variety of bodywork experiences to learning how to start a business.  The instructors were knowledgeable and helpful in guiding her to find the types of bodywork modalities which best suited her philosophies.  Alden offers myofascial, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Thai Yoga massage.

Alden is currently Co-Director of evolvewell healing arts studio in Roland Park.  There she is a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist as well as a Certified Yoga Instructor offering therapeutic yoga.  Alden loves playing with the complimentary elements of bodywork and yoga. Often she incorporates yogic philosophies and breath work into her bodywork sessions as well as uses her knowledge of anatomy and physiology to aid with correct alignment in yoga postures. Her philosophy is to address specific problem areas while revitalizing the entire being, promoting mind-body awareness, and allowing space for healing to occur.  Visit www.evolvewellstudio.com to learn more about Alden’s practice.

Sharon Myers

Sharon says: “I really enjoyed Holistic Massage Training Institute because it was small, and I received any help I needed.  I feel like I graduated with the necessary skills to be a qualified massage therapist.  Not only did I enjoy the experience at Holistic Massage Training Institute but after graduation, Janine (the program director) has continued to keep in touch with me and has helped with employment opportunities.  I would recommend Holistic Massage Training Institute to anyone, payment plans are easy and affordable.”

A few days a week, Sharon does massage for patients, parents and nurses at Kennedy Krieger, an internationally recognized pediatric rehabilitation clinic for children and adolescents with disorders of the brain and spinal cord. In addition, she has a private practice in Westminster, MD. If you would like to make an appointment with Sharon, she can be reached at 410-596-7956.
